Is Far cry 2 a good game both offline & online?

I got ps3 & got online on it. i noe that you can create your own map which is awesome! but how is the game in terms of fun, gameplay, controls, physics, graphics, & movement? is the story good? can you do 1-4 player offline split-screen? can you add bots in offline? im asking about offline because i want to be able to verse me friends or cousins when they come ova my house. is online good too? how is it? is it kinda like cod4, you can customize your own weapons etc etc. btw dont recommend any other games PLZ! dont recommend these games cause im already gettin them: cod5, resistance 2, killzone 2. & dont mention games like: gta iv, cod4, saints row 2, any sport games. thx
