What is the best place to skimboard?

Hello. Tomorrow i will be skimboarding for the first time. I will be using a woodie just for skimming and tricks. I live in Southern California and heard that Laguna was the best place to go. I also heard that Huntington was also good and bad. Where do you think i should go for the best skimboarding experience! Thanks. I need an answer ASAP. :D
