Should I be concerned about honor killings, or is it none of my business?

No one seems to be talking about the girls that have been murdered by their family members because they wanted to date outside of their religion or race.. Is this a sensitive subject? Are we not suppose to discuss it? I know that Fox news has exposed it, but I haven't seen any other news network air it. So is this a subject that is Taboo because it will make the Muslims look bad. ?
