I am the provider in the house?

alot of you may frown on this but i'm 46, my man is 39. he doesnt really work, made some bad choices in his life, did jailtime & its hard for him to get a job that pays well, he's considering school, he lives with me & helps me do alot in & out of the house, helps me with business, we're so in love, i love how he treats me, makes me feel so good. he is very attentive, helpful, extremely protective, he's with me on what i want to do, our life/communication is excellent, we get along so well, have fun together. if anyone is aware of our situation they have nothing but negative things to say about it. but i'm happy with it & so is he. he helps with money when he has it from working odd jobs but i really dont mind paying for everything bcz i'm going to pay my rent regardless, i'm very independent, i have my own, i dont need a man to "help" me with anything & i love him & like making him happy. this may turn out to be a "stay-at-home" dad/BF situation - is that so bad if we're happy?
